  Final Upper Iowa Conference standings have the Bulldogs narrowly edging out Turkey Valley. MFL MarMac (14-2) took first place this year while Turkey Valley (also 14-2) had second place. South Winneshiek took a 70-55 victory against MFL MarMac. The Bulldogs had been up 16-11 after the first quarter, but the Warriors were able to take a 31-24 lead by the half. MFL MarMac was able to get the lead down to three points during the third quarter, but South Winneshiek emerged from the third quarter with a 47-36 lead. The full article...

Wrestling action returned to Calmar Thursday as South Winneshiek hosted Upper Iowa Conference Duals. The day was a success for the Warriors as the team won all four of its matches, the only team to pull off that accomplishment for the night. Despite a snowstorm raging outside, South Winneshiek wrestlers were back Friday at home.
