Area Runners State Bound

Turkey Valley’s Jalyssa Blazek finished first during state qualifying action to earn a trip to Fort Dodge.

Blazek had a 19:49.59.

Kee’s Haley Meyer had second with a 20:01.90, and teammate Katie Brennan had third with a 20:19.17.

Turkey Valley’s Jaycie Byrne’s 14th place with a 21:52.21, and South Winneshiek’s Ashley Kriener’s 15th place with a 21:18.00 also earned trips to state.

Team finishings saw Kee in first with a 68, and Denver in second with a 77. Marquette had third with a 103.
