Flood Stage Reached

Days of rain pushed the Turkey River out of its banks at Spillville with major flood stage reached.

At 6:30 a.m. Friday, the Turkey River was observed at 14.08 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

The river was at 14.26 feet an hour later.

Major flood stage, at 13 feet, was reached during the 4 o’clock hour, and the river continued to climb.
