Democrats and Republicans are looking ahead to Nov. 6.

Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price is quoted as calling it “the most consequential election of our lifetimes,” in a mass email sent Sept. 18 by the party.

That sentiment is echoed locally.

Nathan Thompson, Winneshiek County’s Democratic chair, called it “an absolutely critical election that will have long-term ramifications for the direction of this state and country.”
