Parker’s A Celebrity

At 17, Turkey Valley junior Parker Poor has an eventful life.

“ He takes PE, art, foods, alternative PE at Luther College, ceramics, career Ed, band, child development, and he goes one afternoon a week to the Humane Society,” said his mother Bethany Fisk-Poor by email March 4. “He also makes and sells food at Parker’s Snack Shack at different times throughout the school day.”

The endeavor was started five years ago with Parker’s teacher Angela Balk.

“I’d say his favorite part of school is socializing with everyone,” said Bethany. “He loves the staff and all the students, the entire school knows him. He’s kind of a celebrity.”
