Preservation Effort Pays Off

The award of a grant for Fort Atkinson was not an overnight process.

Various voices behind the scenes have been speaking about the need for a while.

“A few months ago the Decorah Genealogy Family & Local History Research Center….was visited by Kathy Gourley, grant writer for the Save America's Treasures Grant Program,” said Kevin Lee, the group’s president.
