South Winneshiek Tastes Victory

Turkey Valley’s Jalyssa Blazek took first for the women with a 20:34.04 as North Fayette Valley hosted cross country Thursday. Blazek was ranked sixth in Class 1A by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches for Week 8, as noted on iowarunjumpthrow.com.

Kee’s Haley Meyer too second with a 21:00.13, and Central’s Jasmine Mueller took third with a 21:01.78.

Turkey Valley’s Jaycie Byrne took sixth with a 22:26.79.

South Winneshiek’s Shira Hageman took seventh with a 22:28.17, and teammate Ashley Kriener had ninth with a 22:32.64.
