SW Golfers Face NFV

North Fayette Valley hosted South Winneshiek boys and girls for the first golf meet of the season for the Warriors.

The boys won 181 to 186 over the TigerHawks.

“[N]ot a bad start for the boys [given] we have had no rounds in as of this meet,” said Coach Doug Schweinefus in an email sent Sunday. “[M]other [N]ature is not cooperating with us. [T]his i[s] the first time most of them have even been on a green. [I]t’s a good start to the season and something to build on. Austin had a great round for his first time being out for golf so he is a nice addition to our varsity squad. [H]oping for some better weather. Austin was runner up medalist for the boys[.]”

The South Winneshiek girls went 213 to 203 for North Fayette Valley. Coach Glenna Munuswamy commented on the girls’ side.
