TV Girls Earn State Runner-Up

A rally by Turkey Valley girls in the final minutes of the state championship game brought them close to victory, but the game’s final moments saw the Lady Trojans brought up just short of the title they wanted.

Facing the same opponent on the same court they had one year ago, the Turkey Valley girls emerged from halftime Friday with an eye to taking down the rival that had denied the Lady Trojans a state championship in 2016.

Getting their opponent’s lead down to four points, the Lady Trojans appeared as if they might just pull off the win they had been denied last year as Turkey Valley girls outscored Springville in the game’s final quarter, 19-14.
