Unemployment Declines

Winneshiek County unemployment was at 1.8 percent in September.

That is a decline from 2.2 percent in August, according to information online by Iowa Workforce Development.

Howard, Chickasaw and Allamakee counties were at 1.9 percent in September.

Clayton County was also at 1.8 percent.

Chickasaw and Allamakee counties had been at 2.2 percent in August. Howard County had been at 2.1 percent.
