The spires of St. Luke Catholic Church took shape over the course of some time.

Ralph Steinlage, a resident of Lawler who grew up on a farm two miles south of St. Lucas, estimated it took him 120 hours, to be precise.

Still, it’s a labor of love for Steinlage.
