Iowa’s Unemployment Rate Increases

Northeast Iowa compares favorably to the state average with the latest unemployment numbers.

Howard County, at 2.2 percent, and Winneshiek County, at 2.4 percent, beat the state average.

Chickasaw County tied the state average, up .1 percent from the previous month.

Howard County is unchanged.
